Senior staff Senior staff? What´s that? The senior staff consists of 19 members: the Inspector of the nation (who is president), the Proinspector and members of the curatel, and twelve elected members, two of which are deputies. A requirement for eligibility is membership of the nation, preferably since four semesters. Six members are elected each fall for a period of two years, so that new and old members together can achieve a continuity of competence. The members are elected at the nation meeting, where all members of the nation are entitled to vote. The senior staff can be compared to the board of directors of a company. The Curator can be compared to the president of that company. Within the senior staff there are groups that prepare different issues and make proposals at the senior staff meetings. Decisions are made according to the majority's vote. The senior staff have a meeting every third Wednesday. Each time, the Kuratel informs and updates the seniors about current activities and economy of the nation. The kuratel functions as a link between the senior staff and the foremen. Each member is also a mentor to a committee foreman, creating another link between the senior staff and the foremen. Protocols are posted on the web page and the bulletin board outside the administrations office. Unlike your average board of directors, the nation's senior staff organize the staff party every fall and make breakfast for all those heroes who participate in the Tandem bicycle relay! |
