The International CommitteeMeet Students from all over the World! In today's society, our world is decreasing in size every day. This makes cross-cultural comprehension an invaluable asset. This is where the International Committee comes into the picture. The International Committee takes care of the international students arriving in Lund and Helsingkrona every semester. Our goal is to make sure that the international students as soon as possible meet new friends, get to know student life in Lund and swedish culture. Through a series of events, we aim to integrate international and swedish students in Lund. Another task is to prepare members of Helsingkrona for studies abroad. Some of the activites planned for autumn 2010 are: - Try Out Aikido course (28 August) - International “Sittning” (traditional student dinner) (17 September) - Swedish Courses and Language Exchange (flexible schedule) - International Story Evening: tell us a little about yourself and where you come from - Game night (play board games and Guitar Hero with us) - Try Out Climbing Day - International Food Market - Ice skating and sauna evening - The International Ball - Lucia Celebration with Christmas Baking - And more ...
