Comisión electoralThe election committee is not like other committees at Helsingkrona. It's a group of four persons chosen by Helsingkronas members at the second nation meeting in the autumn. The main objective of the election committee is to nominate one candidate for each post in the elections at the nation meetings. However, some posts are prepared by the senior staff, for instance the nomination of Helsingkronas inspector. The nominational work of the election committe is mainly controlled by the instructions set up for each post. The members of Helsingkrona make proposals for the different posts to the committee. The proposals are matched against the criterias reqired for each post. Occationly, interviews are made with those who have been on the posts before, just to get a good picture of the requirements for the posts. Besides these basic criterias, other factors are also considered, for instance how much time they have available for the commission. If noone matching the criterias is to be found, a vacancy is declared. The elections committe works in a proffessional way and attempt to ignore bias and preconceived notions. All proposals are treated equivalent. Finally it is up to the members to choose the nominated person or a in advance announced counter proposal.
